So you want me to draw something for your business?
Updated: Jan 16
I thought I would try and demystify the process of working with me a little as I know sometimes it can be a little stressful trying to decide if you want to go ahead with something but there is no information - ANYWHERE.
I want you to know what you can expect from working with me, I think that is so important when your are building new working relationships.
So here goes.
The first thing before anything at all, is that, if you want to work on a project with me where I create you some illustration, you need to really love my style/ or you need to know your customers will love my style. Now that is not because I'm a massive needy big head it's totally practical... This is the only style that I draw in. You have to like it and think it will work for your brand, because I can't draw in other ways or copy styles from other people. It's important that you are brutally honest about this at the start as it will save a lot of stress and time and disappointment in the long run. You can have a good old nosy at my style here on the website or over on Instagram
Goodness that was bossy wasn't it, but it's important.
Get in touch by email firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what you are looking to create. If you can include the blog post you want illustrated or a helpful link that will tell me more about what you want to create that is great, also advise me which package option you are thinking of. That will help me advise you of the price. If you are happy with the price and my terms and conditions, we will go from there.
I will ask you to provide a clear written brief and any documents that are important, along with branding colours I may need to be mindful of, or logos that you want drawn in.We will agree deadlines and I will get to work.
You will have 2 rounds of amends and changes and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are happy with everything, spelling, colours etc before you sign it off. PLEASE do not be scared to be highly specific in your critique and feedback. I never take it personally, my goal is to create something that you are delighted with and proud to share online, so you need to be specific.
When you are happy,I will send you the invoice.
On receipt of funds I will send you all of your images. You will be so happy that you will forget that this blog was a little bit bossy. You might even ask me to do another one, now we enjoy working together.
